Senior Art Director/Copywriter Team
The Role
We are looking for a senior digital concepting team. Proven ability to conceive world-class, award-winning campaign, platform and experiential ideas for digital, interactive and social media categories on web, mobile and emerging channels is essential. Ability to operate in other media and channels is a significant advantage.
Applicants may apply individually or together as part of an existing team. Individual applicants would have the opportunity to hire their opposite number in the event of a successful application.
The team will lead our concepting discipline and significantly contribute to the concepting of project work across accounts that include Vauxhall, MasterCard, Kraft and Intel.
Responsibilities
- Develop outstanding concepts in response to Creative Briefs for digital campaign, platform and experiential activity.
- Lead concept development for traditional media or integrated briefs
- Liaising with the Creative Director and other discipline leads, developing the concepting process and craft within the creative department and across others to be an inclusive, core component of the way we approach work.
- Act as Creative Leads on key client accounts, directing creative activity across the accounts and presenting creative work to clients
- Lead creative new business activity on individual pitch opportunities
- Make hiring recommendations at a strategic and tactical level to the Creative Director
- Undertake line management of our existing in-house concepting team and be responsible for line management of further team members as the department expands
- Champion understanding and the potential of emerging media and technologies within the Creative department with passion and enthusiasm
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to conceive world-class, award winning campaign, platform and experiential ideas for Digital, Interactive and Social Media categories on Web, Mobile and emerging channels
- Ability to create high quality scamps quickly and accurately to communicate ideas
- Ability to present work confidently and articulately to clients
- Ability to direct and support creative work across an account, acting as creative lead for multiple agency accounts
- Understanding of opportunities and challenges posed by digital media executed in banners, microsites, social media channels and mobile platforms
- Ability and open attitude to integrating other team members and disciplines into the concepting process where appropriate
Preferred skills
- Experience concepting and managing production of print based direct marketing campaigns
- Experience developing concepts and campaigns for above the line channels
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum eight years’ experience in digital agencies. Additional experience in above-the-line or integrated agencies a substantial advantage.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for an individual or team that has a love of the new media industry. You should enjoy a wide variety of media and be an active contributor to blogs, forums, photography/video sites, Twitter and other social media channels. Personal interests in gaming, music production, illustration, photography or film-making are encouraged and welcome.
You will need to bring enthusiasm to the department and act as inspiration to others within it. You should be bright, positive and energetic. Confidence and a strong personality are welcome, but an ability to work as a team with both senior and junior members of the department is critical.
